What Do You Know Regarding Pet Cats

A friend of mine is a cat lover. She loves them so much that she made her home a refuge for cats. The foreign ones that she has, she reproduces them. Now, there are almost twelve cats that are staying with her in her home. She has built ramps, cat windows that open to an enclosed porch, cat runs, little shelves they can sleep or sit on and just about every cat product you can imagine. They have little sleeping tunnels and beds. She even films them and sends me a copy. One time, she caught on video her cats, the one sleeping being pounced by another who was such a nuisance making a huge disturbance in the room!

Miacas, a kind of specie that existed only 50 million years ago was supposed to be the source of the animals that we have now, particularly raccoons, dogs, bears and cats. They had five claws that retract just like the weasel.

Wildcats were valued and treated as pets by the Egyptians about 3500 B.C. Egyptians commemorated their hunting abilities by molding art works of them. They also felt that the cat's eyes possess the sunlight. Cats were highly revered during the 1500 B.C. and it was fatal for any individual takes the life of a cat. When a person's much-loved pet cat passed away, the body was preserved and the pet owner had their eyebrows cut off to signify their mourning.

By the time it reached 1000 B.C., Phoenicians and Greek merchants brought cats to Europe and Asia. They remained to be awed for their knack for hunting and curbing the rodent populace.

In 1871, the pioneering cat show was organized in London, England, followed by the pioneer cat association in 1887. What later followed for people everywhere that adore cats very much is written in history.

Once, when my mother was ill, I had to run errands. My mother had her friend as a companion while I did my errands. During that time, my mom and her friend Lucy were both in their late sixties. I found them both asleep on each couch in the living room by the time I arrived home. My mom's friend was sleeping so soundly, she snored. My mom's cat was resting on her chest gazing at her mouth and nose. The cat seemed to be curious about my mom's friend and found her interesting. Each time Lucy inhaled and exhaled, so did her chest rose and dropped, and the cat along with it. I roused my mom from her slumber so that she could witness how amusing and priceless it was. When Lucy's eyes popped open, she was staring straight into the eyes of an inquisitive feline face. Lucy thought she was in a dream but suddenly realized that she wasn't when we burst out laughing. She could never forget about it. Mom and Lucy reminisced about it every now and then as they grew even older.

Our cat friends provide with hours of love and peaceful moments filled with purring contentment. Their inquisitive behavior has given us many reasons to laugh and amuse ourselves. The cats also get the best love and health care that they deserve. Moreover, you can even include items that will keep them entertained and sleep and play areas that are relaxing for them to settle in. Purrcisely!
