A friend of mine is a cat lover. She loves them so much that she made her home a refuge for cats.She breeds the more exotic ones and there are about 12 cats that live with her inside the house. She really made the room fit for cats to live in, with ramps and enclosed porches, runs, and little shelves for them to sleep in. She even have grooming products for her cats. They even have their own small sleeping quarters that cats access through tunnels. She even films them and sends me a copy. One time, she caught on video her cats, the one sleeping being pounced by another who was such a nuisance making a huge disturbance in the room! At one time, my mother was sick, I had to do my errands. My mom had a friend who said she could keep my mother company so that I could go where I needed to go. During that time, my mom and her friend Lucy were both in their late sixties. By the time I was back from my walk, I saw them on each couch lying sound asleep. Lucy was in deep sleep that she wasn't awoken by mom's cat settling on her chest. The cat was staring at her mouth and nose, even observing her snores. Maybe she was marveling at Lucy and was attracted to her. The cat also went up and down as Lucy's chest went up and down when she breathed. It was such a funny and memorable moment that I had to wake my mother up so she could see it.When Lucy's eyes popped open, she was staring straight into the eyes of an inquisitive feline face. Lucy thought she was in a dream but suddenly realized that she wasn't when we burst out laughing. She could never forget about it. Mom and Lucy reminisced about it every now and then as they grew even older. Our cat friends provide with hours of love and peaceful moments filled with purring contentment. They have also been a source of laughter and enjoyment because of their curious tricks.
