Do You Require A Pet Cat

I have this lovely friend who absolutely adores cats - so much so she turned part of her house into a cat sanctuary. Around twelve cats are currently living with her inside her house. She usually breeds cats with the most striking feature that's why it became so many. Like a little house small enough for cats to stay in, she made it with the ramps, windows, and covered porches. There are also runways for cats and rooms using little shelves. If cats have beauty products, she had those as well. They have little sleeping tunnels and beds. Sometimes she will send me a video of one them sleeping in a tunnel, thinking she is hidden - and then one of the younger cats comes racing through it and pounces on the one who WAS sleeping oh so soundly and peacefully. It is a riot!

Miacas, a kind of specie that existed only 50 million years ago was supposed to be the source of the animals that we have now, particularly raccoons, dogs, bears and cats. These animals are similar to a weasel that has five claws that can be pulled back in.

Egyptians cherished their wildcats. They even train them as pets during 3500 B.C. Egyptians commemorated their hunting abilities by molding art works of them. They also felt that the cat's eyes possess the sunlight. Around 1500 B.C., cats were believed to be a divine being. Death was the punishment for those who killed cats. When a person's much-loved pet cat passed away, the body was preserved and the pet owner had their eyebrows cut off to signify their mourning.

By the time it reached 1000 B.C., Phoenicians and Greek merchants brought cats to Europe and Asia. Their ability to search, pursue and eliminate rodents were still highly regarded of them.

London, England held its first cat show in 1871, and established the first cat association in 1887. What later followed for people everywhere that adore cats very much is written in history.

At one time, my mother was sick, I had to do my errands. A friend of hers said she would stay with her while I was gone. Mother and Lucy were in their late 60's at the time. When I got home, mother was asleep on one couch and her friend, Lucy, on the other. Lucy was so sound asleep, she was snoring and mother's cat was sitting on her chest with her eyes fixed on her nose and mouth. I think she was awed by what she observed and it enthralled her. Each time Lucy inhaled and exhaled, so did her chest rose and dropped, and the cat along with it. I woke my mother up so she could share in this hilarious and precious moment. Lucy's eyes caught the cat's eyes when she roused from her sleep. Lucy thought she was in a dream but suddenly realized that she wasn't when we burst out laughing. She could never forget about it. Mom and Lucy reminisced about it every now and then as they grew even older.

The cats have became a part of our family and having them has been gratifying, with lots of tenderness and calm moments. We are entertained and amused by their prying actions. Aside from all the loving they have received in return and all the care and nutrition for their health, we could still supply them with things to amuse themselves as well as a comfortable quarter to sleep and play in. Mwow!
